The Shoreline, Coffs Harbour’s luxury retirement living and residential aged care community by the sea, has been named a finalist in two categories at the 2026 Business NSW Mid North Coast Business Awards — Excellence in Large Business and Outstanding Employee.
The double nomination recognises both the organisation’s broader achievements over the past year and the individual contribution of its Director of Care, who is a finalist in the Outstanding Employee category.
Excellence in Large Business
The Shoreline has been named a finalist in the Excellence in Large Business category, reflecting a year of strong growth and innovation across the community.
Its Residential Aged Care facility is now operating at full capacity, supported by a positive work environment and a commitment to staff housing security. The Shoreline has also led the way in aged care nutrition, partnering with FOODiQ Global and Australian Mushrooms on the Mushrooms on the Menu (MoM) project — introducing UV-exposed mushrooms into daily meals to boost vitamin D and combat a widespread deficiency among residents.

Aurielle Reyes, Director of Care at The Shoreline, has been named a finalist in the Outstanding Employee category. Known for her person-centred approach and compassionate leadership, Aurielle has driven real results — cutting call bell response times to around 1 minute, growing the volunteer program from 5 to 25 participants in a year, and helping make The Shoreline one of the lowest fall-rate facilities in the Mid North Coast.
A Mary Porter Award recipient and 2025 You Are ACE! Awards for Leadership finalist, this latest accolade cements her reputation as a standout leader in aged care. Aurielle continues to mentor her team and lead with compassion, respect, and excellence.
Looking ahead
Building on these foundations, The Shoreline’s future strategy centres on expanding its current premium Watermark Apartments offering with more luxury independent living apartments and villas to meet growing demand, alongside new facilities designed to further foster connection and community among residents. The organisation is also continuing to invest in its team and drive innovation in resident care, including dedicated care hubs and digital advancements aimed at enhancing the resident experience.
