The Shoreline Residential Care Appoints Catering Manager

February 2022

At The Shoreline we expect that the food that we serve is of such high-quality that residents, visitors and families can order off the same menu and share the bonds of connection, communication and the traditions that come with sharing a meal with loved ones.  This will be achieved with an emphasis on nutritional, seasonal and fresh food preparation.  To ensure our vision becomes reality we welcome Andrew Wright who joins The Shoreline team as our Catering Manager.

Andrew has a strong passion for the core principles of the food industry.  With over 30 years’ experience in varying roles including running his own restaurants and catering business, Andrew brings with him a wealth of experience, in fact he has even cooked for the Queen and Rod Stewart!

Formerly from the United Kingdom and having worked in Europe, Andrew’s passion for food and customer service is substantial; it has been nurtured and enhanced over the years. Andrew immigrated to Australia in 2005 and not long after settled in Coffs Harbour. He has worked in an assortment of restaurants, pubs, and taverns within the local area such as the then Novotel Pacific Bay Resort and formerly Executive Chef at Baringa Private Hospital.

Andrew said, “I am very passionate about food quality and look forward to putting together a dynamic team to service the residents of The Shoreline and their families and friends.  Good food can create a smile and in turn makes everyone feel great.”

The Shoreline Residential Care Home is currently under construction and is expected to open in June 2022.  This luxurious state of the art residential care home comprises of 120 beds and is co-located with a large retirement village to create a healthy aging precinct.
